TJ's Reeducation

TJ has been a pain in my arse since the first time he was found on my GS at the 2002 (or was that 3?) SMR. Since then he's been found on all my other bikes. Never really cared for the little booger. This past year at the 2007 Founder's Feast I was given the opportunity to reeducate the ol' boy. A lot of folks didn't think he'd survive. I knew he would as long as he learned a two or thing.

I'm using this gallery to document the reeducation process.

  • The little booger is mine now! I'll be nice. Promise. :)
  • TJ Wanted to Ride Up Front to the Florida Coast to Coast II...
  • ...but I convinced him to ride bitch instead.
  • He kicked back when we got to the hotel. I think all the poolside beer drinkin he did in Florida did him well.
  • He fell asleep quickly. I wonder if he left his eyes open the entire night? Hmmmm....
  • The next day while enjoying the ride across Florida... Not sure what happened exactly, but apparently Lil' Grizz was talking smack and TJ opened a can of whoop-ass on him. He's got him in a leg-lock here.
  • Now he's ham-pressing Lil' Grizz.
  • Then he went back to a leg lock and going for the jugular. He drew a bit of blood, but Lil' Grizz will survive. More importantly, Lil' Grizz learned about "pecking order" and where he stands. TJ takes shit from no one.
  • TJ's helping me pack the wing for a little trip to Pensacola Beach. He wanted to fly down and meet us, but decided against it cuz he doesn't like flying at night.
  • We stopped in Athens, GA for the evening and TJ was out like a light.
  • The next morning we had breakfast at Cracker Barrel, of course. The first cup of coffee is always the best.
  • It was a bit nippy that morning and TJ felt like warming up by the fir
  • I'm not sure what his fascination is with the oven, but Debbie told him to not get used to it.
  • TJ made friends quickly. The chicks he met buried him in the sand.

  • Debbie and I got there just in time. He survived.
  • After the resurrection TJ disappeared. We found his tracks in the sand. Interestingly enough, they went in the direction of a beach-side bar. The ol' boy's thirsty.
  • After securing a brew and some snacks, he settled on a table and saved a couple seats for us. Good thing, cuz he forgot his wallet.
  • After the beer he ordered a bahama mama. Don't ask. I think Debbie encouraged that behavior. The drink was pink-ish so I reckon I can see the attraction.
